Rolls-Royce will showcase a one-off concept car, called Serenity, at the Geneva motor show.
The concept, based on the Phantom, will feature a bespoke silk-inspired interior and will “set a new benchmark for luxury individualisation in the motor industry”. Rolls-Royce says the concept celebrates “the historical role played by silk as a symbol of regal and imperial power”.
The Goodwood-based firm’s design team has taken inspiration from contemporary interpretations of European furniture combined with Japanese Royal Kimono designs for the one-off show car.
“Serenity will reintroduce the finest of textiles to create the most opulent interior of any luxury car,” the company said in a statement.
“This unique design demonstrates the levels of craftsmanship, creativity and attention to detail only Rolls-Royce Motor Cars can offer.”
